AGNES RF — Targeted Radiofrequency for Sebaceous Glands
Both treatments targets individual sebaceous glands — the root cause of active acne. A fine insulated microneedle delivers controlled radiofrequency energy to each gland, reducing its size and oil output without damaging the surrounding tissue. Unlike broad-spectrum treatments that affect the whole skin surface, AGNES RF treats the gland itself, addressing the mechanism of acne rather than just its visible symptoms. The treatment is precise: the needle depth is adjustable based on the location on the face (sebaceous glands sit at different depths on the nose versus the cheek, for example). Most clients require 2 to 3 sessions spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. There is minimal downtime — some redness and mild swelling for 24 to 48 hours. AGNES RF is also used for pore refinement (enlarged pores are enlarged sebaceous glands) and for reducing under-eye fullness (where the same technology targets herniated fat pads rather than oil glands).

Picosure Pro for Sebaceous Glands
The PicoSure Pro system regulates sebaceous gland secretion in acne-prone skin through a gentle photomechanical pathway rather than thermal destruction. Utilizing 755nm wavelength with ultra-short picosecond pulses focused through the Platinum Focus™ Lens Array, the laser creates microscopic Laser-Induced Optical Breakdown (LIOB) within the epidermis and upper dermis. The resulting acoustic shockwaves physically “stun” overactive secretory cells (sebocytes) to temporarily downregulate lipid synthesis, while simultaneously triggering a dermal remodeling cascade that produces new collagen and elastin. As this fresh collagen matrix matures, it exerts lateral mechanical pressure that physically constricts the sebaceous glands and follicular canals to restrict oil flow. This physical compression, combined with accelerated epidermal turnover that clears obstructive keratin plugs and calms underlying microvascular inflammation, successfully breaks the physiological feedback loops that drive excess sebum production and acne flares.

Stellar M22 — Red Marks, Brown Marks, and Texture

Once active acne is under control, the marks it leaves behind are often the more persistent problem. Red and purple marks (post-inflammatory erythema) come from dilated blood vessels that remain after the inflammation resolves. Brown marks (post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation) come from excess melanin deposited during the healing process. Both can last for months or years without intervention. Stellar M22 addresses both types of marks in a single platform. The IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) handpiece targets the haemoglobin in red marks and the melanin in brown marks, clearing them more quickly than the body would on its own.

Fraxel CO2

Fraxel CO2 — Deep Ablative Fractional Resurfacing

For atrophic acne scars — the depressed pits and divots that remain after severe acne — surface-level treatments are not enough. These scars exist because collagen was destroyed during the inflammatory process, and the tissue healed with less volume than it started with. Fraxel CO2 is the treatment for this kind of scarring. The laser creates microscopic columns of ablation in the scarred skin, surrounded by zones of healthy skin that drive rapid healing. Each column triggers a collagen remodelling response that gradually fills the depressed scars from within. Results are significant but require commitment: 1 to 3 sessions, with 5 to 10 days of visible recovery per session, and continued collagen improvement for months after the final treatment.
